Rooms at Terral Hotel & SPA feature hardwood floors and some have a terrace and a view. Breakfast is included. Very helpful staff. Just a few minutes walk to the plaza, restaurants and taxi stand. Bus station is about 5 minutes. The staff were exceptionally helpful over the phone and during our stay.

If you want to stay in the heart of the Elqui Valley and be nearly as remote as one can be while still having incredible WiFi - this is the spot! We spent one night here but should have booked more. The only tricky piece about this spot is getting here off the main road. While it isn’t a far distance you really should have 4WD. The road is tight and severe switchbacks. You also need to bring in food with you especially if you don’t have a car. Each unit is exquisitely designed to allow you to cook dinners indoors or out with a regular sized fridge and freezer to boot. To say this place is magical might be a vast understatement. We spent the late afternoon hiking up to the scenic lookout (although each unit has its own incredible views and privacy for late nights in the hot tub). We spent the next 2 hours by the pool which given how hot it is actually had cool water for swimming and lovely shaded lounge chairs. We brought in drinks and a pizza with us for our evening and it was perfect. We turned off all the lights and just sat outside watching the moon rise over the mountains as the sunset. After we spent hours soaking in the hotel tub watching more stars appear in the sky. Just magical! The interior is well appointed too with great bedding, linens, towels and vegan shower products that smelled and felt like luxury after having traveled for so long. For breakfast the following morning, we were brought a delicious selection of fresh fruit, granola, yogurt, croissants, cheese and more! Each unit it also outfitted with a tea pot, tea, a moka coffee maker and ground coffee! If we ever have the chance to come back to the Elqui Valley we will 1000% book this spot again! Also - be sure when in the area to book the 3 hours tour and wine tasting at vinedos de alcohauz! The guide essentially gave us the entire history of the area from different stops along the tour that changes in elevation 5 times! The vineyard is magnificent.

A children's playground is also available for guests at Lodge Nueva Elqui. The most amazing view I’ve ever seen. The accommodations were exquisite clean. The food was good and our host. Jaime was the best.

In addition, the rooms are equipped with heating and a TV with cable channels. Richard and his staff make you feel like family. I would not consider going anywhere else in Vicuña. Terrific room, breakfast and wonderful host! Really relaxing backyard and all the amenities you need. A perfect stay.

Rooms here are large and are fitted with a private bathroom with a shower, a sitting area, heating, bed linen and towels. Solar Madariaga is a peaceful oasis. The grounds were beautifully up kept and the pool was a wonderful. The hotel had the most comfortable bed out of our entire trip in South America. The hotel restaurant was one of the best in town!

This property features their own observatory were astronomical tours are held. Beautiful town, cabins are tidy and well equipped, the surroundings are astonishing. Definitely strongly recommended. Also recommend the astronomical tour.
