This "Guest House" is huge. A family of 4+ could easily move in here and live comfortably. The back decks are beautiful to just sit and watch the jungle. It is a little way down the road from the city, which means it is quiet and very laid back. I had both a breakfast and a dinner while at the guest house. Both were great portions with a lot of variety, tasty, and well worth the money. Unfortunately, my schedule and Wendy's schedule didn't align for her bird tour. There was lots of flora and fauna to explore. My personal sightings included Toucans and a Morpha butterfly. I'm willing to bet that there was a lot I missed that Wendy could have found and shared!

Wendy was really helpful, lots of advice and organised a great white water rafting trip. Extra for breakfast was worth it!

The accommodation features room service, a 24-hour front desk and currency exchange for guests. This place is...magical. I felt like Alice in Wonderland the whole time. It's the baby of a CR artist who bought the land in the 80s. His artist friends all wanted to come and visit, so he had to make more room. All by himself and his friends. And then more artists from all over came, helped with the build and left their mark everywhere- murals, sculpures, whatever. And I have this from the horse's mouth, as we had the privilege to meet both the owner and his grandson in person. Oh, to have been a fly on the wall back then...And the drive up there is amazing as well. This place is mindblowing.

The staff were friendly, rooms spacious and very clean, brand new bathroom with huge shower, strong A/C, and best of all, the most beautiful grounds.

Extras include a minibar, a DVD player and cable channels. Our family of 5 stayed at Peace Lodge for our last night in Costa Rica. It was the most expensive accommodation of our holiday but the nightly rate includes entry to La Paz Waterfall Gardens and the animal and butterfly sanctuary so we felt it was worth it. It is also only a short drive from San Jose airport which was very convenient. We did the evening animal feeding tour and night frog tour which were both amazing - the guide was friendly and knowledgeable. Our boys also caught sone trout in the lake. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and our family room was gorgeous with its balcony jacuzzi and lovely views. We had a delicious evening meal with great service in the main restaurant and had the buffet lunch the next day before departing for the airport, which was plentiful, delicious and surprisingly great value for money. All the staff were professional, welcoming, knowledgeable and we felt very spoiled throughout our stay.

The property provides a children's playground, parking on-site and an electric vehicle charging station. It are comfortable and very cleany rooms in the near of San Jose Airport. The host was very attentive and lovenly. Absolutly recommendable.
