With free WiFi, this 4-star holiday home offers private check-in and check-out. The property is non-smoking and is located 1.5 km from St Andrews East Sands Beach. Auld Tom's Rest definitely was one of the best self-catering accommodations we've ever been to! It is a sweet little house with a nice garden (with a cozy place to sit and a clothesline!) and so very well equipped! Not only did Gary, the host, present us with fresh milk, a bottle of wine, tea and coffee as well as a jar of sweets for the kids; there were so many useful items in the kitchen, like oil, flour, salt, herbs and sauces, even baking paper! Besides, there is plenty of cutlery, plates, all kinds of pots and pans etc. etc. We like to cook so we really appreciated that! A booklet made by Gary gave detailed information regarding the house as well as restaurant/pub recommendations and city maps, which also helped to make our stay as smooth as possible. Thank you for going that extra mile!! Surroundings of the house: We arrived by bus in St. Andrews and walked from the Stagecoach Bus Station to the house: 20 minutes via the city center and next to a little river, very lovely! There is also a (local) bus stop in front of the house. I recommend grocery shopping at Aldi's which is very close to the house, or at Naturity's in South Street (many healthy and organic products).

Thank you for a fabulous stay. It was our first time away from our 2 small children to celebrate a dear friends wedding close by. The house was perfect and exceeded our expectations. There were so many thoughtful touches that really made our stay. Such a well stocked property with extra bits and pieces and even catered for my GF requirements. The location was perfect, very central so an easy walking distance to the local shops and restaurants. We would highly recommend Bees Townhouse for anyone looking for accommodation in Cupar😊
Beautiful cabin in Scottish countryside, lovely decor with a homely and wonderful feel. Big enough for a family and the hosts have thought of everything when it comes to facilitates. Feels like a home away from home. They carter amazing for children with games provided and outdoor fun in the summer shed.
Nice hotel with plenty of facilities for everyone in the family (pool, tennis, gym, badminton, toddler area, putting green.. ). We stayed in the castle itself, it was comfortable. The room is a bit old style, which I guess is to match with the castle theme but the bathroom are modern. They also have villas where families can stay. The pool is heated and they have saunas in men and women changing rooms. The food in the bistro was nice and not too pricey for a hotel. I would definitely stay there again.
It was clean and functional modern design family room with separate beds for kids and access to restaurant serving delicious food. A handy car park at the rear and front. A friendly staff were very helpful. No breakfast was available on site.
We had a family suite in the cottage outside so more space than I would usually get for us (myself and my two daughters) as I booked it quite last minute and a three persons room was sold out. The suite felt a bit outdated but had everything in it that we needed so didn't bother us. Everything was clean and comfortable I LOVED the garden and had the most peaceful moment after breakfast with a book on a bench. The chickens fun for children to see and I love the commitment of the hotel to good soil, organic produce and sustainability.
The accommodation it perfect for families to come together and a great outdoor space for the family dogs. Access to the pool and leisure facilities is perfect for the kids and staff were very friendly and helpful.
