The room was comfortable, very clean and spacious, with amenities to accommodate a longer stay. While we only stayed for one night, we would have happily stayed more if our travels plans allowed. The communal kitchen facility was handy and again would have easily lent itself to a longer stay.

Each of the 11 Castle Bedrooms are uniquely designed and the Carriage Rooms are located within the courtyard of Kilkea Castle where guests can choose from interconnecting and wheelchair accessible rooms. All rooms feature HDTV, luxury bathroom amenities and free WiFi. Staying at Kilkea Castle felt like stepping into a fairytale. The castle grounds are stunning and full of history, with beautifully maintained gardens and charming interiors. Our room was elegant, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even more special. It’s the perfect mix of luxury and old-world charm—an unforgettable stay that I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting Ireland!

The host and hostess were extremely friendly. They gave us a lot of information about Ireland.

Rooms at the Clanard Hotel have bathrooms with baths, power showers and hairdryers. They also include TVs, safes and luxurious duvets and bed linen. Lovely check-in staff and breakfast staff. Room was exactly as expected, comfy beds. Only minor issue: Shower knob was a little difficult to turn to adjust water.

The property is non-smoking and is set 20 km from County Carlow Military Museum. Great location in Athy .Down a quiet lane so you feel like your quiet rural but 2 minuets to town which is large enough so you can get what you want but small enough to have that village vibe .1 hour to Dublin 40 mins or so to the coast .Got a nice little welcome package on arrival , booking in was a breeze and Claudia couldn’t have been more helpful

The host was very pleasant and responsive . The apartment was extremely clean, very well furnished, in excellent condition. The host provided us with quite a few food items that were perfect in the morning (loved the bread!!!). Loved the quietness.
