Hiro is amazing, and we loved Marie the assistant! I can not recommend a stay at cozy inn enough. We loved our stay.

Staff is very kind and welcoming, and the language barrier is manageable. Rural location next to a charming river in a beautiful landscape.

I visited during the shoulder-low period in Nikko and had the hot spring all to myself for the duration of my stay. Private hot springs available but need-not-necessary The hotel is a very far walk from Tobu-Nikko, please utilize the shuttle bus service, especially if you have luggage. On the contrary, the hotel is near-next door to the Shrines and Temples of Nikko World Heritage Site, perfect location alongside the Tobu Bus - Shinkyo bus stop which enables you to head into Lake Chuzenji, Kegon Falls and Mt Nantai. The house is absolutely gorgeous. All interior has been chosen with full love to the detail and as soon as you enter the house you feel immediately at home . It is a place to rest, to find peace , to enjoy the time . The nature around is beautiful and the neighbourhood quiet and nice. There is a convenience store two doors down the street as well as a restaurant across . From station Sano we arrived by taxi but if you have a car, you can easily park it at Loghome. The owners are super lovely and supportive and immediately offered us to order the taxi for us when they heard that we will arrive by train. We will definitely come back!

We didn’t cook there but the kitchen seemed well equipped. We slept on futons, nice new experience. Our host picked us up from the train station as he was around which was great.
