The bungalow (espacially the terrace) was nice to stay and observe the crabs hiding in there holes. You are really in the nature with a lot of plants around. In the evening they serve a dinner which was delicious.

The accommodation offers airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. The location was excellent, beautiful view across the lagoon. Free parking, host extremely friendly and warm, brought us juice on arrival, with croissants and banana bread and passion fruit and papaya during our stay. Linda also offered a menu of food that we could order in advance for dinner and lunches if we wanted. Were given free access to a pair of kayaks to use during our stay. Fantastic place.

The homestay features family rooms. We had a wonderful stay here! We were lucky enough to be there at the same time as the owners, who were undertaking renovations, and they treated us like family. The unit was rustic, but perfectly comfortable - the one we were staying in will be the owners house now that renovations are completed, I believe, and the new units look much nicer. We spent some wonderful mornings and evenings sitting at the front shelter, beachcombing on the beach, and watching the waves break on the reef with coffee or beers. Sunsets here were fabulous. It's only a couple of km walk or a quick bike ride/drive into town for everything you need, the supermarket there is very well stocked, and there are good swimming beaches close by. Merci beaucoup, Frank and Juliette - we loved Huahine and had the best time :-)

Facing the beachfront, Maitai Lapita Village Huahine offers 3-star accommodation in Fare and features an outdoor swimming pool, garden and private beach area. Guests can enjoy French and local dishes at the restaurant or have a cocktail at the bar. EVERYTHING :) It is a bit on the expensive side, but still far from OWB prices. And basically you get one of the most wonderful beaches and snorkel-spots you can imagine. Rooms are tidy, wonderful, and it indeed feels like a Garden of Eden, or a Village. We walked by foot from the ferry - 2 minutes walk on the shore. Shops, foodtrucks nearby - the restaurant is second-to-none. Stuff are not just friendly, but incredibly funny, in a good way. We celebrated my birthday night here - I will never ever forget it :)
