This stay at Ecorest Villa has been one of the best decisions of our trip! From the moment we arrived, the staff welcomed us as part of the family. Because they weren't fully booked during low season (there was a typhoon during our stay), they offered us a free upgrade of the room, which meant that we had 3 bedrooms with huge beds for the 2 of us, and a lovely sunset view. If we wanted to, we could've even switched rooms for free during our stay. The villa is absolutely beautiful, with all the plants and the stairs leading up to the rooms. The staff helped us with everything: renting motorbikes (delivered to the hotel), booking a taxi, even offering to take us on a tour of the island for free. We joined them for dinner twice, where we had the most delicious local food - AND a lot of fun with drinks, dancing and karaoke. At the checkout, we wanted to give them a tip for the amazing service and dinners, but they refused to accept this and instead insisted on a discount. Thank you to our amazing host for making our time on Cat Ba Island very memorable!

We arrived early in the morning, super tired of the night bus, and were given a room immediately, with no extra costs. The room is very comfortable. Great view to the bay!! Viktor is very attentive and sympathetic. He made sure we were full in breakfast, offering the best pancakes I have had in Vietnam. Great breakfast options. The location is perfect, near the restaurants and bus stops. Also, we booked the 1 day tour from the hotel, and it was a great experience, not tiring at all. Pick up from the hotel and the way back all stress free just enjoying.
