It was just what you think of when you think of Italy: Vineyards, exquisite golden light, rolling hills, incredible coffee. gorgeous old villa, tall ceilings, a feast for breakfast. The pool was just the icing. Our host gave us suggestions, including going on an alpaca/llama walk. Parking was easy and close. The nocciola was amazing; we bought some from here before we left. We were in a giant three-room suite with lots of attention from our host.

We always receive a warm welcome and this visit was no exception. We travel between the UK and our villa in Lucca, Tuscany regularly and really look forward to breaking our journey at Monvillone. The location is in the countryside and it is a lovely relaxing place to overnight. Add to that the fact that the cuisine is exceptional - Riccardo is an amazing chef and the wine is very much to our taste. The room is spacious and has a large balcony overlooking the countryside. The bed is large and comfortable and we always wake feeling refreshed and ready to resume our journey. The breakfast offers plenty of choice including croissants, home baked cake, fruits grown locally and yoghurts. Very much looking forward to our next visit in July.

We were just passing through, so we thought of only passing the night and we almost decided to stay longer. Everything exceeded our expectations once we arrived at the place. The food was delocious, the staff were polite and gentle and very helpfull with everything, the room was perfect, the view was exceptional, there was the peace and quiet that will make us definitely go back.
