Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Boschendal Farm Estate is located in Simondium, a 10-minute drive from Franschhoek. Free WiFi access is available. The location of the Boschendal Estate is in one of the most beautiful areas in the western cape. The estate itself is just amazing. Both the accommodation and the level of service is absolutely phenomenal. We had an amazing dinner at Die Werf Restaurant which was very tasty and made very good, as well as the hospitality and the wine. And we also had some wine pairing at the cellar door and staff was very nice, very informative about the wine selection and was very friendly.

But particularly special for our anniversary celebration was the stone cottage - a former chapel transformed into a most romantic hideaway. Would have loved to stay longer. Also special the cheese and wine and breakfast. Wonderful place. Wonderful staff!

Gorgeous property surrounded by mountains, fruit orchards and vineyards, water, and a nature reserve. Property was about a 12 minutes drive into Franschhoek town, restaurants, and vineyards. What stood out was Tim’s exceptional hospitality. He was so helpful in planning our stay, making recommendations, making reservations, etc. He even helped us find and book a reservation at our next stop. Thanks, Tim! Would definitely come here again to rest and relax!

Heuwelsig Farm Cottages offers self-catering accommodation on a working wine farm, just outside Franschhoek, only an hour drive from Cape Town. This is one of the best places I have ever stayed at; not only in Franschhoek, but of all the places I have ever stayed at before. It is very spacious, beautifully decorated and very well equipped. The farm and surroundings are gorgeous and peaceful, and the location to the town center is perfect. One could stay here in the winter or the summer, due to the indoor fireplace, hot tub and outdoor braai area. I love that it is also very private. Our host was extremely attentive; responding immediately whenever we asked her something. She was very friendly, helpful, and it was clear that she wanted us to enjoy our stay. We will now be staying here every time that we are in Franschhoek!

Located 7 km from the town of Stellenbosch, Gemoedsrus Farm features views of the surrounding winelands and offers amenities including an outdoor swimming pool and barbecue facilities. Linda is the heart of the house and made sure I felt like home. She also organized a wine tasting tour with her friend Francois which I can highly recommend.

One of the best spots we've stayed at in the Western Cape. We had high hopes for this farm after reading the reviews, but even those didn't do it justice. The sprawling grounds had so many surprises--from the little fountains in the dam to the giant chessboard to the quirky hiking trails to the multiple pools, hot tubs, and fire pits. Our cottage (Pale Chanting) was compact but cleverly laid out and comfortable. It was so relaxing and we were sad to leave. This would be a phenomenal spot for kids, OR a girls' or guys' trip, OR wedding, OR a romantic honeymoon.

There is an exquisite attention to detail that is quite unbelievable …. Spacious, quiet and welcoming … you will want for nothing. I don’t believe there is a thing the owners haven’t thought of to make the stay more comfortable. The cottages are beautifully decorated and faultlessly clean …. Fresh eggs, branded products, wine in the fridge …. This is our second stay and I am planning the return.
