Location was great, and we loved biking around the town on the bikes provided by the hotel. It was also easy to walk from the hotel as well. The food was mostly outstanding, the staff very friendly with excellent English. We loved the architecture and layout of the hotel, and the pool was amazing.

The property is fantastic! Located out of the busy central area on a large plot of land, but close enough for easy access, the hotel is an old property with a rich history. Updated in a very sensitive way, the hotel is a nice mix of the past with modern facilities. The poolside was extremely relaxing and very peaceful.

Situated in Luang Prabang and within 600 metres of Night Market, U Luang Prabang has a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property.

We had a fantastic stay at Rosewood. We were able to experience this wonderful place for a longer time (6 nights). The staff was absolutely exceptional and made this stay feel like a second honeymoon. The place in itself is heaven, and all activities we did were top notch (the Mandalao elephants, the city tour and the sunset cruise). The room decoration and architecture from Bill Bensley are wonderful. We want to extend our sincere thanks again to the team for all these efforts to make this trip exceptional and for their kindness.

The hotel staff was great. I hired a motorbike and flipped over. The hotel staff escorted me to the hospital and took X-ray. Luckily it was only ankle twisted and no bone issue. I was lucky to live in Sofitel especially the manager named Max provided a lot of help. If I were living in other hotel, I doubt they would provide the same level service. The hotel itself was also great.

Our stay at La Residence was nothing short of spectacular. It's indeed a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it receives. We definitely recommend the sunset river cruise on the Mekong River; we had such an incredible time. The cooking class with Chef Larissa was a very special activity as well. Our stay was unforgettable, one that will stay with us for the rest of our lives. The exceptional service, luxurious accommodations, and attention to detail made it a truly special vacation. We loved it so much that we extended our 2 night stay for another 2 nights. Also booked one of the VIP rooms which was great compared to the twin room we had for the first nights. They have a complimentary airport pick up service and also took us to the train station on the last day. There are always 2 drivers that take guests to the center of the town (market area) for free which was a great service we used many times. If you want to walk to the center it takes roughly 15 to 20 minutes. The rooms were cleaned daily and stocked with water bottles and soft drinks. We also had a cake offered by the hotel because it was our wedding anniversary. In general I think this hotel is great to stay at and only needs a few improvements to make it even better but it didn’t change our experience negatively. The food and room service were great and I wish we knew it was that good because the restaurants in town are mostly for tourists and the food isn’t that great. The night market also has a lot of food for tourists at western prices which we didn’t enjoy at all
