The Golden Crown Hotel was by far the best hotel I stayed at during my entire trip through Sri Lanka including Colombo, the north, and other regions. The service, friendliness, and atmosphere were absolutely exceptional. Everything felt perfectly balanced professional yet genuinely warm. A few people made the experience truly unforgettable. Dananjaya was always helpful, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. He really made my stay more enjoyable with his positive energy. Mlhirini had such a kind and welcoming presence. She constantly made sure I had everything I needed and was always up for a nice conversation. So caring and attentive. Roshan, the manager, is a truly kind person. Under his leadership, the service was simply outstanding. I can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sri Lanka. If you’re looking for real hospitality and excellent service, this is the place. I’ll definitely come back!

Kandalama Heritance is a 20-minute drive from UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the 2,000-year-old cave temple at Dambulla and the Sigiriya rock fortress. As usual in Sri Lanka the kindness of the staff is beyond anything. We had a great room with views of the mountains. The infinity pool is breathtaking. We also did one of the hikes that they offered in the morning and learned about the estate. The food does not look like the one advertised but it’s still good. This hotel has by far the fastest WiFi in all of the island. It’s great value for the price!

Each meal at Santani is an experience, and with no printed menus, the chefs propose a menu to each guest based on the dietary preferences and utilizing the fresh organic vegetables grown on site. All room categories are available on a full-board basis. I loved everything about this! My favorite parts were the spa services and chakra alignment with sound bath done by the yoga master. I also loved the reiki with a visiting yoga master. The food, rooms, staff, and grounds were all great.
