Nothing. This hotel is not what it seems from information online. To say it is a luxurious upscale beachfront property is misleading. It is not directly on the beach and is surrounded on all sides by other buildings. The ocean view is in fact a slither of ocean through the surrounding buildings and our rooms faced onto a parking lot.

Great location, good hotel for the money. Staff was nice. It's an older, 2.5 star hotel that has been updated. It's decoration is cheery and very Waikiki. My room had a balcony which is a plus. Accommodations are simple but sufficient, especially for the price.

Location was great for the room price.2 blocks from the beach and 5 star hotels to visit.Public bus from the airport[number 20] stops opposite resort[great, $3 each way!!!]Macca,s opposite for cheap breakfast,ABC shops everywhere for essentials.Dont expect 4/5 star resort but was better than some reviews that I read.Will stay again when flying back to Aust

This hotel is world-class for a reason. Outstanding. the room was stunning and the view was breathtaking. I could see turtles and rays from my room, including all along the beach to diamond head. We didn't need to leave the room to enjoy the vibe and beauty of Waikiki.

The royal Hawaiian is beautiful. It's the 2nd oldest hotel and have a luxurious and classy feel, but when we visited the Moana Surfrider I liked it more. It has a lively vibe and facilities seem better. The pool is bigger than the Royal which has a very tiny pool. But the advantage is that you can use the Sheraton's 2 big pools instead. Big shout out for the staff though. They are very courteous and friendly and accommodated our request for early check out without a fee.
