This place is a real gem for relaxation. Our room had a great view to the Biwa lake, comfy beds, and an open air bath. Our first dinner was a 10+ plate Kaiseki menu, and as our second dinner we chose crab shabu shabu, which was excellent as well. Tried public onsens (indoor and outdoor pools), private onsen, and massage. Wore Yukatas the whole time :) All public and private areas were exceptionally spacious. The staff were very welcoming. There was a shuttle to/from the nearest train station.

In room onsen was fantastic. Beautiful views of the lake. Friendly staff. Beautiful food for both dinner and breakfast. Public onsen was also excellent. One of us couldn't attend the public onsen due to extensive tattoos, but the option of a private onsen circumvented this issue.

Like other onsen ryokan, they offer pick up service from the station, in addition, they are so thoughtful, when we leave, they offer several drop off spot in case some of us want to take the cable car, ropeway back to Rurikoin temple area in Kyoto. Very thoughtful. We booked the spa service ahead of time and it's very enjoyable. We upgrade our room with a private onsen, they fill up the water and keep it warm just so we won't have to wait, very thoughtful. The food is super good quality, enjoyable. I highly recommend staying at this place. Really 10/10!!

Huge room size and the bed is just facing towards the lake. The view is magnificent. Breakfast is great with lots of food option. Bike rental available (normal bike & electric bike). The hotel also provide shuttle bus service to Otsu Station (3 bus every hour). The Pier is just few steps from hotel and they offer 20% off for cruise ticket.

On top of being a very cool place with great staff and well located it had a bar with great coffee and drinks and also 1 min walk a way (in another KABIN) it had a GYM to use.

    It is a nice hotel, rooms are good size, location peaceful with a beautiful view to Lake Biwa, especially view from Breakfast area is special. They operate each half hour a free shuttle bus to Otsu main Station. If you take taxi Zeze station is closer.

    Excellent ryokan stay near Lake Biwa! We had a private bath in our room which was lovely, and the room itself was spacious with a separate dining area which was very convenient. Provided toiletries were high quality and the ameneties bar was well-stocked. Staff were friendly and adept at using translation apps to speak with us as necessary. Whole area was quiet and overall a wonderful night spent.
