Four-Star Hotels in Gampola

The room was large and comfortable. Breakfast and dinner were good although the dinner menu was limited. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel grounds (with pool) were beautiful, and the distant views were very scenic. We noticed couples coming to this location to have wedding photos taken due to the attractiveness of the grounds.

Our stay at Mount Havana was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were immersed in a world of serenity, set against the stunning backdrop of rolling hills and lush greenery. The property offers a perfect blend of seclusion and luxury — ideal for those looking to truly unwind. What truly elevated our experience was the outstanding hospitality. The team went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for, with every detail thoughtfully arranged. One of the absolute highlights was the Seafood BBQ dinner. The freshness, preparation, and flavour of every dish was simply superb. Mount Havana is a rare gem — peaceful, beautifully maintained, and run by people who genuinely care about your comfort. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a luxurious yet grounded escape in nature.

The location was simply stunning - I mean WOW factor and then some! The room was clean and lovely, the staff were fantastic, the food was amazing! Thank you Asanka for taking extra care of me when my driver didn’t show up.

We loved staying at Kushana and Purnima's home sooo much! They felt like true family to us. And i am including their lovely pets, cats and lovely sweetest dog Bella. I enjoyed playing with Bella so much! Thank you Bella, you are truely also a much appreciated member of the staff and did an amazing job! This just added to the comfy feeling of home and relaxation. There were also cute and funny monkeys that we could observe right from our rooms. One monkey got in our room so just a heads up, do close your door when you're not there because they take your stuff. The rooms were in a lovely antique style and very clean, also energetically clean as i am very sensitive to how the energy is somewhere. You could feel that everything they do for their guests is done with a lot of care, love and attention. Every day they prepared an amazing fresh breakfast from their own garden, so very healthy! And we could even order food for dinner. They made the dinner. Kushana drove us to various beautiful places and even went a whole day and waited for us while we were there. Talk about patience!:) The house is located on walking distance from various nice restaurants, also suited for vegetarians. And close to the town Kandy. But in a silent area, the only sounds we heard were monkeys, criquets and sometimes dogs barking. I slept sooo peacefully. There is also a fridge in the shared area and the view from the balcony is just amazing, we sat there a lot and could watch the stars and fireflies at night. So, to conlude, it was truelly a magical and wonderful experience. The service here is even better then you often get in a 5 star hotel. And you won't get generally this kind of genuine attention and hospitality in most hotels. This is the true meaning of hospitality from the heart. I will definitely return here some day!

This place is a must when in Kandy. In fact, we'd specifically want to go back to Kandy just to go to this hotel again and enjoy the peacefulness and AMAZING food. We've already been to a number of hotels and restaurants in Sri Lanka, and while we've sampled superb dishes, Umesh's talents in the kitchen remain unparalleled. Kudos, sir!! In terms of location, the hotel is easy access to the city, but also is in a calm area surrounded by sounds of birds and squirrels hopping around in the trees across. Everything was very clean, comfortable, and lux. The clove shower gel and soap were also a smart touch. Finally, the staff at any place are always a critical contributor to the overall experience. At Clove Villa, Danushka and Umesh were the clincher. Both were so polite, friendly, professional, and always ready to go above and beyond to accommodate any requests. Thank you both!

After having left noisy Kandy and traffic behind, this place was a haven of peace. The lack of noise was what hit me first. Staff were helpful and welcoming. The views were stunning. Hanthana mountain is in front at the other side of a deep valley and the Knuckles Range to the right. Crickets were chirping when I went to sleep, and I woke up to a chorus of birds. All in all, I came back in a better mindset that I went in with.

On vacation in Sri Lanka and passing trough Kandy for 2 days, we received a very warm welcome from our hosts Shiha and Nigel! Everything was perfect, the house is magnificent, spacious, fresh and finely decorated! We loved Shiha's dishes, excellent cuisine! If we ever come to Kandy again, we'll be delighted to come back again! Thank you! 🙏🏻

We had the huge villa for us. The staff was very helpful and the cook prepared the best breakfast only for us . Transport is available
