Really really pleasant stay. It's at the edge of the forest, but inside the city area. You'd need a car to get there. We arrived late in the evening, but the staff called us and arranged dinner in the room, which was just what we needed after a whole day of driving.

It is the third year that we took 1-2 night at this pension. Excellent location, next to the market, 5 minutes walk from the city center. A good breakfast. Very friendly staff. A real asset: parking place in the yard.

Hotel Carpati was my first stop on a Romanian road trip, and it was a great choice. The location is perfect, with all major sights within walking distance. The free parking offered by the hotel was a big plus. The room was fairly clean, the bed was comfortable, and it came equipped with air conditioning and a flat-screen TV. The bathroom was tidy, and basic toiletries were provided. The receptionist was extremely friendly, easy-going, and helpful with any questions I had. The internet connection was reliable and available in the room as well. Overall, a pleasant stay and a solid option for anyone visiting the area.
