Each cottage at Kolin Lotus Cottages has a private sauna, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine and drying cabinet. A living room with a flat-screen TV, DVD player and fireplace complete the units. Free firewood is provided. We returned there for the second winter in a row and found it to be the same lovely place as last year. The cottage is clean, comfy and its location so beautiful. We hope we can manage to come back next year too.

Situated next to Lake Pyhäselkä in North Karelia, Holiday Linnunlahti offer self-catering apartments with a private terrace, sauna and loft. Joensuu city centre is 1 km away. Hiking trails and cross-country skiing tracks are found right outside the door. This was our second time in Linnunlahti and definitely not the last. Very well decorated cottages, squeaky clean with everything one could wish for (even a MokkaMaker coffee machine 😀). Right next to the skiing tracks and a lake with a lovely beach. Thanks for everything!

The hosts are considerate of customer language challenges with Finnish, and were helpful with local travel logistics as the area hosts a yearly opera festival each July. Room was exceptionally clean and included a bidet hose, little known in the Americas but a very refreshing hygiene feature. Exceptional amenities included a shared kitchen space with common games for casual interaction, row boats and fishing tackle.
