And if it were not for you, I would have totally missed seeing Koli’s best aerial view - Räsävaara Observation Tower!!! The best sunset and island views ever !!! I chose to stay at this hotel mainly for easy access to Ukko-Koli on the summer solstice, so I could enjoy the sunrise and sunset. The staff at the reception were very helpful and genuinely nice to me. Breakfast tasted even better with the view of Lake Pielinen. The sauna has fixed hours, so it’s a good idea to check the schedule in advance. (I didn’t have time to go, though—too bad! 😅)

I would describe it as a rustic cabin, not run down, but more nature based than city. which is what we were looking for!
