In the shadow of Kilkenny Castle, the Hibernian Hotel is in the heart of Kilkenny city. Originally the Hibernian Bank, this building overlooks the Parade, popular because it's close to Kilkenny Castle and the Kilkenny Design Centre. The breakfast was fabulous with a wide array of options. The beds were very comfortable. The bar and music on Friday night was excellent and made for a fun atmosphere. Staff were attentive, kind, and helpful!

We arrived down from Dublin airport after a delayed flight as the restaurant was closing - the receptionist Savio (?) voluntarily went and asked the kitchen staff if they would delay finishing so we could be served, they did and we were able to enjoy a great meal. Johnny the waiter was also very helpful and obliging, The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The mattress and pillows were also very comfortable. There was an extensive selection at breakfast to choose from with good coffee. Checkout was quick and friendly. Wonderful staff and a comfortable stay.

The Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel, the only city centre hotel with a 21m pool and kids pool with Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, as well as a fully equipped gym and aerobic studio. Room was great. Bunk beds for the kids were a nice surprise.

They recommended Tony and he was absolutely fantastic. He gave us the best deal possible, and we were extremely pleased with him. He was very knowledgable of the area and told us lots of interesting stories. Highly recommend the hotel and Tony.
