Featuring a private beach area, the 4-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. The restaurant serves Asian and European cuisine. We can only warmly recommend the hotel from start to finish. It starts with the nice staff, whether front office manager, housekeeping or the waiters in the restaurant, everyone is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was freshly prepared and very tasty. The additional dishes besides the selection at the buffet were also very good and fresh. We loved the idea of using the tents as rooms. Of course, you should be prepared to encounter a gecko, frog or snail in the bathroom, after all, you are also booking a nature experience here! The cocktails are also very good, happy hour from 4-6 can only be recommended. The white beach was always clean and well maintained, as was the entire resort! If I were to come to Koh Rong again, I would check in here again!

Sunset Beach is by far the best spot on Koh Rong Sanloem and SunBoo is the heart and soul of Sunset Beach! So if you want a calm relaxing stay in a tropical paradise, look no further! The amazing staff made us feel so welcome and made our entire stay so comfortable and relaxing (Thank you Cori, Nadia, Paolo and Anneli; you are the best!). Great food and amazing drinks! Lots of activities or ample option to be lazy on the beach, in hammocks etc. And don’t miss out on Cori’s yoga classes!

Bathrooms felt clean. No hot water, but normal on the islands.

Popular points of interest near the lodge include Lazy Beach, Saracen Bay Beach and Sunset Beach. Our teepees were in beautiful shade but fronted the amazing beach. The beach was superb and kept really clean unlike elsewhere in Cambodia we had been. It was so peaceful. None of the few restaurants/bars chose to play any music at all which was a nice change from other places. The swimming, beach walking, sunset were stunning. We also hired a paddle board which was fun. The simple menu was tasty. We were there on one of the pizza nights and they were fired in a wood oven and delicious. The staff made calls and helped us with our ongoing journey which we appreciated.

This non-smoking tent is fitted with windows that open up to panoramic views of the sea. The tent is equipped with solar-powered lighting, a queen-size bed and furniture. The communal bathroom includes cold shower facilities, while electricity is available at the charging station in the restaurant. The accommodation blends into the beautiful natural jungle and beach landscape and feels perfect for the setting. Be advised that it is a bit rustic but there's a shower and a flushing toilet and our bed was really comfortable. There are no plug points in the room but you can charge your devices in the dining area. A mosquito net is provided which was great as it meant we could leave the windows open for a cooling sea breeze at night. We were a stone's throw from the water but also surrounded by trees, it was magical. The staff were helpful and friendly but unobtrusive. The food is traditional Khmer cuisine and everything we had was delicious and made with a lot of care. There are also a few other resorts in the bay that serve different food styles. Sunset Beach is more remote than some of the other bays on the island and does not have a ferry port or really much other boat traffic making it perfect for swimming, paddling and snorkeling. This does mean that you have to hike in to the accommodation but it's completely manageable, just be sure to pack in a backpack rather than a suitcase or kit bag. All the pertinent information and directions are sent out in an email as soon as you book. This stands out as one of our best beach holidays, highly recommended.

Scott was a great guy and very accommodating. Also, there is an excellent snorkeling spot right next to the guesthouse.

Outdoor seating is also available at the luxury tent. Staying in the jungle with the sounds of the waves rising up the hill was so incredibly peaceful. Staying in a straw cabana felt like my camping trips when I was a kid growing up on an island. The family was so friendly and made everyone feel at home. A two night stay turned into three weeks and I didn’t want to leave.
