It is a great place to stay at Kalahari desert on the way to Mata Mata and SA border, with a wonderfull host Peter who wants to share his farm life exerience. The room we booked was very comfortable, spacious, fully equiped and lovely decorated by Hanli. The small, simple room was very clean (and so were the shared toilets/showers). The hotel has made an effort to make the place homey with a bit of decor inside the room and plants/decor throughout the property.. The wind and cold were fierce during our stay, so we were very grateful to have a good heater in our room (and they provide enough blankets). While the WIFI is only available in the reception/bar/restaurant area, it works well. Good to have a reasonably priced restaurant on site, as there are few eating options in Grunau (you can order your meals ahead to be ready at a certain time). We stayed for two nights while visiting Fish River Canyon as it is much more affordable than the places in/nearer the park (unless you are camping).
