Already at check-in you feel that it’s something out of the ordinairy. The owners Des and Sinead are warm and kind people with a great sense of humour, happy to help with restaurant suggestions or things to do in the area (or a birthday song, if you’re lucky!). The hotel itself is beautiful inside out, from the floral wallpaper and wooden floor to the picturesque stone facade partly covered in plants, nothing is left to chance. There’s no fuss or haste at The Osprey and we left feeling relaxed, well rested and wanting to come back! If the above isn’t convincing enough, in addition: The room was the nicest we had during our week in Scotland, super comfortable beds and bedding, a nice view over the park outside and very tasteful interior. The breakfast had a broad range of tasty and filling choices. The town of Kingussie itself was very charming and well worth a visit. I honestly can’t recommend this place enough.
