Very handy location to Cologne (Köln) Central HBF train station. Friendly welcome when we arrived by the man on reception who even helped with one of our bags down a few steps to the elevator 🛗, which we also were grateful for. Friendly service again later that evening and in the morning too when we were checking out. Twice we arrived to find them vacuuming the lobby area and keeping everything spotlessly clean. Our room was small with 2 twin beds, but perfect for my son & I on a one night stay. The room was quiet and clean, with a private bathroom ensuite, luggage storage area and some space to hang clothes.There was heating in both the bedroom and bathroom areas that we could adjust as needed and a window that opened to let in fresh air if we wanted. We also noticed a small fan provided in the room, however we didn't need it as our stay was in December and it was a pleasant 88 degrees Celsius outside. I would definitely stay again if I'm ever back in Cologne/ Köln 😊

The breakfast was a nice buffet. The staff is smiling, lovely, and helpful. The location is right across the main station when you arrive from the airport. It is right in the center of the city near the Rhein. The hotel seems historic and traditional which I like.
