For us Ashirvad Homestay was a welcoming and quiet refuge in an otherwise chaotic city. The location, a bit removed from the clutter near the river, is in an almost rural setting across the road from a park. Aman, the manager, was exceptionally helpful, changing money, arranging an airport transfer, setting up aboat trip and on Day One, negotiating a tuk-tuk for us. Trust me, if you do any of these activities, let Aman set them up for you.

Great value accommodation, within easy walking distance of the ghats, allowing easy access to evening Aarti ceremony and to boat trips. Basic room, but clean and with consistent hot water and fan.
