This stay exceeded our expectations! It has a more hotel-like feel and is super centrally located beside lake Gregory & close to Victoria Park. The staff were excellent and so friendly. We had a lovely breakfast and you can see an amazing sunrise over lake Gregory right from the building! There is an area for parking if needed. The room is super comfortable.

Lush in Ella is a brand new venue and a true hidden gem in the middle of the jungle. Yet it is very close to the center of the town. The owner Saman and her husband made us feel very special, especially pampering us with delicious homemade breakfasts. We had such a lovely stay at Wingate Homestay. The owner was so kind and welcoming, and she cooked us a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast every morning, always with plenty of fresh fruit – a real highlight of our stay! The room was charming and comfortable, with a mosquito net and a fan to keep things cool. The bathroom was modern and clean, with reliable hot water in the shower. The location is excellent – just a 5-minute walk into the main town, making it easy to explore Ella while still enjoying a peaceful setting. We originally planned to stay for a shorter time but ended up staying 3 nights because we liked it so much. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Ella!

An absolutely delightful stay, our host Rajith and his family went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. His suggestions to places we should check out and trek to were spot on. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and if you're planning on a trek you can request for an early breakfast. We highly recommend this place. We had a large room and the bathroom was outside the room but It was absolutely fine and comfortable. Thanks again Rajith and your family for your hospitality.

The host, Ake, was very friendly and helpful. The view from the rooms and the terrace is really stunning and with lots of beautiful birds. We saw chestnut-headed beeaters, common hawk-cuckoo, woodpecker, brown-headed barbet, sunbirds and red-vented bulbuls. The property is away from the road and quiet which is a bonus, however, still in a short walking distance from the city center. AC was working fine, the bath is the best we have tried on our 2 week trip to Sri Lanka and the breakfast is good.
