The host Kalahara is kind and helpful and treats guests as his family.Nothing is too much for him. PROPERTY: Lovely homestay surrounded by trees and lovely garden.The room was spotlessly clean, spacious and airy. All the facilities like hot water, airconditioning, water pressure etc was perfect. BREAKFAST:Our breakfast was included and it was the best we had in Srilanka.Its varied everyday and its plentiful and very tasty.(SEE PHOTOS) We had 2 dinners cooked by his wife and they were delicious and generous portions. TOURS: Host Kalhara will organize tours at reasonable rate and his driver is a very nice person. we did a tour and driver was very patient and took us around paddy fields. Ruwan and his family/team are great hosts. They organise all you need and more if you have issues (like us with incovenient cash notes, shuttle from the train station, etc.). Would always recommend staying in Visu Villa hotel if one is in the region of Habarana. The food is great as well and always fresh made. The tours are fantastic as well.

We stayed here for 1 night only. Very friendly stuff, quiet place, good breakfast. we took a city tour from them, and spicy garden is highly recommend!

We enjoyed staying at Heaven Habarana which opened just a few months ago. Such a lovely place. The host and his wife were really nice and caring. They prepared fresh breakfast everyday. The location is in the center of Habarana, only two minutes walk to restaurants, peoples bank, petrol station etc. Definitely worth staying there! Habarana is a perfect alternative to Sigiriya (lions rock is not far away from Habarana).

Sunanda was a super friendly host. The place is very calm, behind his spice & herb garden and right next to the jungle. There are a lot of Birds and Butterflies, sometimes Giant Squirrels and Monkeys but no dangerous animals. The rooms are simple but comfortable and there are moskito nets. Sunanda gave us a lot of tips and arranged a few activities for us without ever being pushy. We went on a Safari to the national Park and on Pidurangala Rock and really enjoyed those trips.

We stayed for four nights and loved this place. The villa is quite new and it looks like the pictures. It is spacious with two large double beds with mosquito nets and the bathroom is large and has an outdoor shower. There is also a nice veranda. It is walking distance to the small city center, but the host can provide transportation if you prefer tuk tuk instead. They can also arrange tours if you wish. The host is very nice and does everything to make you feel comfortable. Can definitely recommend this place to others.

Staff were exceptional! Can not recommend this place enough to stay in Habarana. Really safe and quiet location in a walkable distance to the main centre. Gorgeous outdoor bathroom and incredible comfortable bedroom with air conditioning. Incredibly green and lush surroundings and incredibly accomodating and welcoming staff. I can find no fault with our stay here, we will be recommending to friends and family coming to Sri Lanka. It was a bit tricky to find on google maps but is in the same location as Gabaa resort and spa.

The Cozy Cottage is in walking distance to the bus junction which is useful for trips to the places nearby (e.g. Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya). The room was clean, spatious, had a fan and a mosquito net. Plug points were near the bed. The hosts were very helpful and kind. They made sure that everything was to our convenience. The local dinner they served is was excellent. Even on short notice they prepared a delicious meal. For our day trips they gave us breakfast to go - we appreciated it very much!
