So happy we chose to stay here for 2 nights. Waking up next to the sea and watching the sunset with a beer on the beach without spending a fortune was fantastic. There are lots of seating areas and hammocks - all with a view. We appreciated an upgrade to the upstairs room with a balcony. The shared bathrooms were always clean and the showers worked well . Chris was really friendly and helpful and the airport pickup was a bonus. We enjoyed walking to the local market street on our first morning.

Brilliant! A lovely guest house, super clean and comfortable, has everything you need and the staff are friendly and ready to help in any way. They serve breakfast (paid additionally) which is great. They organised our transport to Sabang and to the airport, and were also kind enough to store our luggage for a few days while we explored the island. The rooms are spacious and include a fan, as well as an AC. WiFi is good, bathroom is also spacious and has hot water. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend to others!

A lovely place with a beautiful big garden and picturesque views of the surrounding landscape. A few mins walking distance to center of Sabang, pier from where the boats to the Underground River depart, pretty sandy beach, mangroves for kayaking and paddle boarding, and zip line. The family and staff are very nice and helpful and you can get a delicious, healthy dinner in the resort too. The cottages are clean and spacious, no aircon or hot water but it’s not really needed. Overall, a great experience and a great feeling to stay at Bambua, I’ll be happy come back one day.

Very friendly and helpful staff. (The owners live across the street, but you can always contact them.) - Fan and airco in the room. - Small, but cosy balcony with mountain view. - There's a little shop with drinks and snacks (like noodles) in the homestay. Really handy! - There's a kitchen and living room downstairs. - It's an ideal spot to stay before or after a flight. - I can warmly recommend this guesthouse (especially when you like peace and quiet).
