This is actually a review for the Hotel Malovec-same owner, but they moved me over to the hotel when I checked in; it’s about a 3-minute walk down the street. Absolutely lovely, comfortable room, very clean, lovely bathroom, great water pressure in the shower. The included breakfast was completely out of this world. So if you’re reading this, and trying to decide between Guesthouse Risnik and Hotel Malovec, I can’t speak to the guesthouse, but knowing what I know now I would absolutely spend the 25 extra euros to stay at Malovec. Even for the breakfast alone.

This is honestly one of the best places we have every been. Beautiful location, really nice transformation of an old cellar into a beautiful room with character. The garden of the property with the views were to die for. The best was the owner, amazing guy, friendly, eager to help, with good tips and very welcoming. Very nice and friendly staff. It is possible to have dinner which is delicious and made from local ingredients. Great location, with beautiful surroundings. Good spot for hiking or biking. Or just relaxing and enjoying a good glass of wine.
