Marcel and his family were fantastic; very friendly, welcoming and were ready to help if we needed anything. The room was nicely appointed, very clean and very comfortable. The meals were fantastic, breakfast, packed lunch for hiking and dinner. A great hike to a fantastic view point and Rosny Peak if you are up for it, starts directly at the guesthouse. And we loved Valbonë, such a wondrous and beautiful place. We highly recommend Guesthouse Mountain!!!

After spending 10 days exploring all of Albania, I can confidently say that the Stonehouse remains our fondest memory. Our host was incredibly welcoming and through his stories and unique perspective, he introduced us to Valbona and Albania in the most authentic way possible! :) He welcomed us with open arms, cooked us a TO DIE FOR dinner and breakfast, and gave us great advice on hiking tours. On our last day, he even drove us to the starting point and was ready to extend our stay due to bad weather.

The room was so clean with the most beautiful view from the window. We were welcomed by Tati’s sweet daughter Lina offering us mountain tea and a cute note from her sister Lori. Tati, our host, was so kind and did everything to make sure we were well taken care of. She cooked amazing dinner and breakfast for us and accommodated a vegetarian preference. In the evening, we enjoyed drinks around the bonfire. We were even able to do our laundry. We wish we could have stayed longer, everything was perfect.

The room was very clean and the bed incredibly comfy. You can eat both traditional or “basic” food for a good price and it was really really tasty. The breakfast included is very good and consistent. You can take it away if you want to begin your hike early morning. We chose to walk to the starting point which is 30/40min away, but they also can bring you by car.
