The hospitality was impeccable, the staff was friendly and helpful, both before our arrival and during our stay. The room was comfortable, spotlessly clean, with heating and hot water throughout our stay despite the region's low temperatures. Right across the street is the train station (Steeg-Gosau), which takes you to Hallstatt station in 8 minutes, where you can then take a boat across to Hallstatt. Despite the proximity to the train station, there was no noise at all in the accommodation. There is also a bus stop right in front of the accommodation, but we chose to use the train. Personally, I would recommend renting a car for greater convenience, as the train schedules end early, and it saves time on travel. Additionally, there are no supermarkets or stores in the area, so I would suggest getting supplies from the supermarket in Hallstatt. The accommodation offers breakfast, which seems excellent, but we chose to leave early in the morning to explore the area. Overall, we had an exceptional hospitality experience, and we would definitely choose it again and highly recommend it.

The place is amazing for kids to play in snow and the breakfast was excellent.

The units feature a wardrobe. This guesthouse is really special. The rooms are very imaginatively decorated and the whole place was refurbished beautifully in 2017. Bathroom was excellent, bed and the room were both huge and cosy.Luisa was so friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast was great, a good selection of meats, cheeses, breads and sweet items, plus eggs cooked to order. The guest house is a short walk from Steeg-Gosau train station and is well placed for a visit to Hallstatt. Bonus: the lovely resident black Labradors :)
