I’m very thankful for the fresh glutenfree sandwiches I got every morning. ☺️ Upon our arrival, we received free tickets from Ben, so we were able to freely use the public transport during our whole staying. Really practical, since there is a bus stop 5 minutes walk from the hotel. And Cochem is just a 9 minutes bus ride away. Ernst was a perfect location from which we could easily travel and visit other villages allong the Moselle region. We enjoyed our vacation and will certainly come back to this hotel!

She met us at check-in, walked us through everything, and coordinated breakfast. The rooms were spotless and had everything we needed. The location was perfect for us after visiting Burg Eltz that afternoon, before making our way down the river back home. Parking is on site. There are walking paths behind the house. She gave us excellent recommendations for dinner. The downstairs is accessible for an open tab on wine and beverages after hours as well as access to the terrace with a view of the river. She served us, sat and chatted with guests during breakfast, and was just lovely in general. She also made our children hot chocolate in the morning, which she joked was the best in Germany- but my kids actually said it was the best they'd had! Everything is right where it should be, all the little things add up and you get a feeling of being home. Of course the major things are also in place - its clean, tidy, the rooms are spacious, location is perfect, bike garage is there, parking places are there, outdoor lounge and sitting / relaxation area in a beautiful garden. Yes the floors are squeaky, staircase and stairs also - but this makes it so great! It’s an old, traditional house, actually palace since it’s part of the place premises. Breakfast is a threat - fresh, various, delicious. I can only say - go there!
