One could stay there even without any help from the employees - except for breakfast- also had a small wellness place. Especially bathroom was clean and tidy. They have thought about every detail. Employees are very friendly and helpful, safe to say very competent.

The restaurant was delicious and very agreeably priced. Stayed with my brother and sister for the Taylor Swift concert at Veltins arena- perfect 30 minutes to venue.

The Hustadt U-Bahn (underground) station is a 5-minute walk away from the Schmerkötter. It connects you to the main train station and city centre in 10 minutes. This was the coziest little quaint hotel I have stayed in! It was very clean and comfortable, the breakfast was amazing, and the staff made us feel like home and was extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful. It was nice to have the mini fridge in the room for cold drinks. I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone, and I will stay here again, should I find myself near Bochum again. Loved it!

We've been on our way to Amsterdam, so this Hotel was a hidden gem for us: close to the highway, great hosts, free parking, and an excellent breakfast. We could also find a great restaurant nearby for dinner. The room is big and has everything you need, the TV is really huge so we could watch YouTube on it. Breakfast was excellent, the staff is really nice and welcoming.
