Lastly, The food - one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had in a hotel. Brought up to our room in a basket, rich with options, everything so fresh and full of taste. Not a single industrial ingredient. Probably the best hotel experience we have ever encountered.

Beautifully restored Pension Dafni is located in Nafplio’s Old Town, underneath Palamidi Fortress, 200 metres from Arvanitia Beach. It has a snack bar and offers tastefully decorated rooms with bright-coloured walls. Delightful setting, friendly, helpful staff

Occupying a traditional stone mansion with wonderful views of the surrounding area, Bacchus is a charming and luxurious pension 3 km from Ancient Olympia.

Bacchus is located in the picturesque village of Ancient Pissa. Its garden, large terraces and swimming pool area are ideal for relaxation and fun. Breakfast was great , staff very nice.Hotel is exceptional and evening meal very tasty.

The property is around 500 metres from Akronafplia Castle, 1.3 km from Bourtzi and 9 km from Timenos Beach. Some units at the property feature a balcony with a city view. Great location in the town. There’s a lovely vibe to the town that has numerous restaurants and bars to while away the hours. Alternatively, spend half a day climbing up to the castle - well worth the effort.

The property has inner courtyard and quiet street views, and is 300 metres from Nafplio Syntagma Square. The guest house features family rooms. Great communication, modern and clean, delicious breakfast. We visited during off season, so parking was easy, but could be hard during busy season. Quiet street but close to town center. Comfortable bed, great shower, super friendly hostess (Anathanasia). Balcony doesn't really have much of a view, but you can see a sliver of the harbor. One of the nicest places we've stayed in Europe. Don't hesitate to book it
