Location was really lovely, Nippori is a beautiful neighbourhood with cute cafes and restaurants. The rooms are very comfortable and clean, as well as common areas. We had dinner in the common kitchen a couple of times and it was lovely. Lastly, the staff was just the NICEST we have ever met! They went above and beyond to help us with absolutely everything! Even storing one bag while we were away from Tokyo for a few days since we were coming back to the hotel. I can't recommend this hotel enough!!

Kamakura no Nikki is located in Kamakura, 500 metres from Yuigahama Beach, 2.3 km from Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, as well as 22 km from Sankeien. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. The guest house features family rooms. The owner of the property is proactive, asking us about our arrival time. We were given duck cookies (a delicacy of kamakura) and two luggage tags as a gift. We got here easily via train. It’s also a stone throw’s away from the beach and the Buddha. The best part of staying here is being able to do laundry for free. We had been travelling for 2 weeks before coming to Kamakura so we had a mountain of laundry. Water pressure in the shower is also 10/10.

Set in Nikko, COZY Inn Free Shuttle service is a recently renovated accommodation, 12 km from Tobu Nikko Station and 14 km from Nikko Toshogu Shrine. The air-conditioned accommodation is 11 km from Nikko Station, and guests can benefit from private parking available on site and free WiFi. The guest house features a hot tub and a shared kitchen. Host is extremely friendly and ready to suggest local restaurants and other places to go. Large room was comfortable and AC worked good. Loved the little onsen bath. The location was beautiful, hidden off the historic road lined by giant cedar trees.

The owner was really hospitable, friendly, and always considerate of his guests and we had many good and informative conversations together. This was one of the best guesthouses I’ve been to in Japan, and I can’t wait to visit it once more.

Sato-san’s place is simple, but very homey and filled with all of the amenities and comforts that you need to make an easy stay. The trip into Nikko station is very quick, and Imaichi has lots of small town charms to offer.
