This guesthouse is located along one of the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Routes and Yunomine Hot Spring, said to be one of the oldest hot springs baths in Japan, is a 5-minute walk from the property. Everything was very clean and orderly. Beds were very comfortable and duvets very warm in colder November weather. Lovely common area and a nice shared kitchen with free evening rice and morning porridge. Access to private onsen which was a real treat! This was some of the best value for money I’ve seen - highly impressed! Completely exceeded my expectations.

What a spectacular guest house! We were blown away by how beautiful it was both inside the house and their wonderful garden area with the oldest Sakura tree in Wakayama. Giovanni and Hitomi were amazing hosts and made us feel welcome and special throughout. Giovanni's set course meal was absolutely delicious with high quality ingredients, we were glad we paid extra for this. After our trek from Takajiri we were able to enjoy some beers in the sunshine in the garden and it was the perfect end to the day. Would recommend to everyone highly 🌸

Very close to the Train station. You can search "Kitchen Tomtom Shingu" in Google Map then you can find the guest house. The guest house is very new, clean and comfortable. Seiko San is very nice. She would try her best to let you know everything even you don't know Japanese, but if you know a little bit Japaness, that would be perfect. It is your best choice when traveling in Shingu.

Located in Shingu, 400 metres from Kamikura Shrine, 長徳寺宿坊　Temple Hotel has a garden, private parking and rooms with free WiFi access. The property is set 700 metres from Kumano Hayatama Taisha, less than 1 km from Shingu Castle Ruins Park and 13 km from Fudarakusanji Temple. The guest house features family rooms. The monk who runs the property was so helpful recommending local restaurants and giving advice and even gave us a lift to the station. There were free drinks including alcohol. The rooms are part of a temple. The hotel is very close to the main shrine and not far from the station so a great location. The place to stay in Shingu. Good value for money.

It is located 29 km from Kamitonda Concert Hall and features full-day security. The guest house has parking on-site, a hot tub and a shared kitchen. Wonderful host. Exquisite breakfast and dinner. Clean rooms.

This hotel is run by the kindest couple, and I’m still thinking about how good dinner and breakfast were. Some of the best meals of my trip! You can also order lunch for the trail. The onsen was wonderful after a long day hiking. Room was on the 3rd floor and very quiet, it was compact and simple, very clean, with everything you might need, including yukatas for dinner and towels for the onsen. Shared toilets and sinks in the hall were never busy; there are two communal showers inside the onsen. I asked about laundry and they took mine and washed it for me within a few hours! The bus stop to Shingu or Hongu was a one-minute walk from the hotel. Yunomine Onsen was such a unique town, I feel lucky to have stayed here and enjoyed such great hospitality!

The host was really cool and we could tell he is a very welcoming and warm-hearted soul. We appreciated the cleanliness and organization of the place. We really enjoyed the sauna and hot tub that felt brand new. It is also a convenient 10-minute walk to the beach! The host took some memorable pictures of us, which we also really appreciate. This is a special place ran by a genuine, down-to-earth host. Thank you G-Sun for creating a lovely Wakayama experience!

This guest house offers free private parking, a shared kitchen and free WiFi. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. The owners are very sweet, welcoming people. The house is splendid, the room is cozy and spacious, the conditioner is working. We had a good night's sleep. Surprisingly cheap for such a good place and a last minute reservation. Went to a nearby yakiniku place (Yakiniku ichi, 2 min walk from the property), wasn't able to stop thinking about it for the past week, one of the best meals I've ever had. In the morning we went to the cafe the owners run (Quaith, キース) and had delicious cheese and bacon toasts for breakfast. If I ever go to Shirahama again will definitely stop there again.
