It is very peaceful with the most beautiful sunsets on the island and a great and affordable bar just next door - take a walk on the beach. It is a simple accommodation with all the basics you need. If you love nature, camping and being surrounded by animals - this is the place for you. We especially loved Moka, the dog who will follow you around and provide loads of protection. The staff were so helpful, the breakfasts were delicious and very reasonably priced. It was so affordable! I highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

The location is incredibly nice, the view with the Conception Vulcano is stunning , relaxing in the hamac during the evening and watching the stars on the sky is amazing. The rooms are nice and They are cleaning the room every single day ,changing the bed and towels, that is definitely a plus . Jose , the owner, is really helpful and great, will inform you about everything , tours, transport , what to do and visit. The kitchen is large and well equipped, good organisation. Go for it and you will enjoy it !!

Featuring mountain views, El Güis hostel provides accommodation with patio, around 12 km from Maderas Volcano. There is an on-site restaurant and free private parking. The guest house features family rooms and facilities for disabled guests. This was easily one of the best hostels if have stayed at. The host family is extremly welcoming and organizes everything you could want (taxi, bikerental, kayaktour) at good prices. The room was cleaned every day and we were given fresh towels daily as well. The breakfast (can only recommend adding that) is delicious and filling. There was a hiccup with the communication via booking.com (it had overbooked the room and when we got there a solution was already provided. I cannot overstate how nice and generous the hostess Odelba and her family was. Jutst thank you for making our stay this wonderful!

The accommodation features airport transfers, while a bicycle rental service is also available. A wonderful privately-owned small B&B in Moyogalpa. A lovely family runs the place and makes sure you have everything you need. Rooms are basic but comfortable, A few blocks from the main area of town, which made for a peaceful and quiet night.

Guests at the guest house will be able to enjoy activities in and around Balgue, like cycling. We loved the relaxed vibe and how everything is set up and decorated, it's really really beautiful and we enjoyed just sitting around on our porch immensely! the location is great as it's away from the crazy hostel stuff but not too far with tons of great local places near by. Getting to all parts of the island from Balgue was ideal as well and everywhere you turn you see one of the volcanoes since you're right in between them. If you turn right from the place you get back into the main hostel area in a few minutes (on bike) and if you turn left you find really beautiful roadways and scenery and you can get away from all the "traveler" stuff. Cafe compestre is just down the street (2 min walking) where you can get a really really good cappuccino. My boyfriend also got a haircut across the street haha. The food they made us was so so so good (our favorite if we HAD to pick was probably the burritos, and they make some of the best smoothies on the island). we were also able to get our moto bike and kayaking through the family as well, and everything was a really good price and easy. On day 4 or so we found a hole in the tire which they fixed in just a couple hours and they didn't charge us which we really appreciated. There was a power outage one evening (it happens on the island from time to time) and they set us up with a candlelit dinner and we just loved that (picture below). The family who owns this are truly wonderful people and we felt really at home, possibly too at home as we were supposed to stay 5 nights and we stayed 9 or 10 😂. I usually got up early and worked a few hours in the balcony seating area with a coffee or smoothie, so can confirm working here is also no problem. For context, I was working fully online building a webpage with large files so internet needed to be really functioning well, and it was :)

Friendliest and sweetest accommodating hosts, the prices couldn't be beat, and it was really an incredible location for what we wanted: peaceful, close enough to run down the hill to the beach, proximity to the famous Ojo de Agua can't be beat. Great, affordable motorcycles available to rent on-site, the most comfortable hammocks! Very private and perfect for couples or families who are looking to experience Ometepe's incredible nature in a well-placed, authentic setting. If we ever return to Ometepe we will be back!

This beautiful hostel is run by a big, wonderful family who have been very friendly and hospitable. For a small price, you can have a big delicious, and fresh breakfast. The location is perfect, set in the middle of a tranquil barrio that is walking distance to all the restaurants, stores and banks. The room with a private bathroom that I had was big, very clean and comfortable. The upstairs patio is surrounded by colorful plants and flowers, and plenty of comfortable seating, along with a roof deck with an amazing view of the town and volcano Concepción. I've been to 5 different hostels in 10 weeks on Ometepe, and Siero is my very favorite. If you want a very chill, comfortable place to stay that is close to everything, and is run by a beautiful family, Hostel Siero is the place to choose. You can also rent scooters here at a very reasonable price.
