Very helpful staff, stunning hotel, you can see Misti volcano from the terrace while enjoying your breakfast. Loved the decorations and vintage furniture. Breakfast is absolutely delicious, and hot tea is available during whole day.

Set in a refurbished mansion with charming colonial style architecture, La Casa de Melgar is set in Arequipa’s historical district. Guests can relax in the garden or in the central courtyard with a stone fountain. Wi-Fi is free. We stayed here for 5 nights at new year. The room was spotlessly clean, the beds were cosy and comfy, there was stacks of hot water and a huge shower. We woke up to the sound of birds singing - zero city sounds. The breakfast was super - fruit, cereal (including a local gluten free option), eggs, cheese, ham, olives, yogurt and plenty of teas & coffee. The staff were smiley and helpful. Highly recommend this place. They also let us store our baggage.
