The host provided clear instructions for checking in and out and also gave guidance on local attractions that was extremely helpful.

The home is decorated modern with the bedrooms upstairs (very steep ones) and a spacious living room/dining area/bathroom in the downstairs. The hosts were friendly and very accommodating. The apartment was stocked with breakfast supplies plus lots of games and books and toiletries, everything you could need.

Domaine de l'Ermitage is a recently renovated holiday home in Rue, where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities. This property offers access to a balcony, a pool table, free private parking and free WiFi. The accommodation offers a concierge service, private check-in and check-out and currency exchange for guests. The apartment was very light and extremely clean. The was a little garden with a view over the marshland. The kitchen was really well equipped, there was even a crab claw cracker for the local crab we bought for dinner and an oyster knife. The apartment was also dog friendly - a pet bowl was supplied. The host was very friendly on arrival.

Initially, we were supposed to arrive between 8 and 11 PM. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, our new estimated arrival time was 11:50 PM, but we actually arrived at 1 AM. Fatima was extremely flexible and welcoming; the fact that she welcomed us at 1 in the morning was astonishing. Since we were leaving early in the morning (6:30 AM), she kindly put together some ingredients for us to make breakfast, which was another pleasant surprise. The location is crystal clear and smells great. There’s a lovely small terrace, and the bed is very comfortable. We were four (parents plus two children), so the sofa bed was very useful (by the way, the sofa bed was prepared by the time we arrived). The bathroom is very cozy. There were also a variety of coffee and tea options available. For parking, there are multiple free options right in front of the establishment - we barely walked five meters. The neighborhood is quiet. There’s absolutely nothing I could suggest for improvement. We will definitely be back.

Outstanding gîte in the village of Combles. It's located next to the house where the owners live, very spacious and fully equipped with everything you need. Actually, we were suprised by the size and comfort provided. The contact with the owners was also very relaxed and friendly. We felt welcomed, since our kid was allowed to play with their kids and use some of the toys in the garden. Since we were only on a stopover I can't say anything about the location as a base for activities in the region, but it seemed nice and we would like to come back for a weekend or so.
