Offering an accommodation with a dive centre, Happy Gecko Dive Resort is located on Bunaken Island in North Sulawesi, just steps from the island’s world-famous beaches and diving sites. Amazingly quiet and tucked away in the heart of the most bio-active lagoons that I'd ever had the privilege of visiting. We thoroughly enjoyed the dives with Jimmy, our guide, and the incredible snorkeling that was just 150m away (no current and totally swim-able). Spacious, clean villas. The common area was homely yet it boasts picturesque views to the lagoon and a small mangrove outcrop. Food's great, we were treated to local dishes, usually a fish + veggie + fruit platter for lunch & dinner, while there's a good set of options for breakfast (pancakes; toast; nasi goreng; mee goreng). One thing I truly appreciated was how easy it was to communicate with the hosts, who arranged our dives and transfers professionally and patiently. Everything was a breeze.

Located right on Bara Beach in Bira, Cosmos Bungalows offers a beautifully simple beachfront accommodation where each bungalow has sea view. Free on-site parking space for guests who drive. Absolutely beautiful views from the restaurant. The sunsets are amazing. My bungalow was very nice and they cleaned, changed towels and gave water each day (if I wanted). Comfy bed and I liked the outdoor bathroom. Easy access to the water but need to go somewhere else if you want to sit in the sun on the beach. Everyone was friendly and the food was good. Good location just 5 min walk to blue planet dive resort (which was great for diving!)

Peaceful waterfront location with snorkelling available out front. Excellent food and friendly staff. Close to the village. Airport pick-up with transfer to resort available.

Set on a mountain with views of natural scenery, Gardenia Country Inn is a 10-minute drive from Tomohon Traditional Market. Green, manicured garden , magnificent view of Lokon volcano. Easy to find location too. Clean and well maintained.
