The location, the staff is very, very helpful, the minibalcony right in front, the restaurant and the beach right in front of the rooms. Everything was simply perfect.

When we arrived we got welcomed by the owner of the hotel. The room was very beautiful, cozy, clean and with a good working air conditioning. The cleaning service did every day a great job. I’m our room we had the nice balcony with a sunset on the sea every night. From our balcony we could also see the swimming pool, with the hot weather it was really nice to go for a dive there and lay in the sun. Every morning we had a good and diverse breakfast. The staff was always really nice and polite, when we were going for dinner the owner of the hotel brought us to the city center. These 2 days we experienced as more than perfect and very lovely. The place is great if you want to relax. Peaceful hills around, black skies at night…. A car is a must. Is it far from the beach or Monemvasia? No, but it all depends on your demands – check on Google Maps – it gives you a realistic idea. Privacy is complete (there are some houses not too far behind, and people live there, but I only met somebody once). For us, it was ideal. But this depends on your needs. For instance, we never met the host in 8 days there. I liked this fact, but this also meant that we had to buy food for breakfast, because the promised breakfast was not included. There was food when we came, which lasted about 3 days, but after that, that was it; I wrote to the owner and the owner responded that he couldn’t bring more food, because he lived far. So when you compare prices, do not take ‘Breakfast Included’ into account, if you stay longer than 3 days or so. So what you get is an ideal place, a cosy suite, and a complete privacy for a reasonable price, but without any service, if that’s important for you. We spent some time in Monemvasia almost every day, and it became more interesting each time we got there, but I would not choose it for vacation rental. In Guesthouse Kamara, we were surrounded by greenery, olive groves, while in Monemvasia, there’s mostly stones, ruins, and tourists. It’s very interesting and beautiful in Monamvasia, but not really relaxing, I’d say. Also, I wanted to mention, we made many furry friends there. Nice little cats and kittens in need of food. They ate ANYTHING we gave them, including BREAD. I mean each and every one of them. They were nice and gentle, but appeared pretty hungry, and we couldn’t stop ourselves from buying sausages and cheap fish for them. And we had to give out sausages piece by piece to make sure everyone gets some. So yes, I do recommend this place for a complete relaxation… And don’t forget to treat the cats!

Very nice accommodation at the heart of the castle with very friendly host

Our group was 3 couples. Each of our rooms were uniquely different and equally spectacular. The whole place was magical. Everyone should have an experience like we did. I could not give a better review.

The island is very beautiful, natural and charming. There is an amazing view from the property over the bay of Elafonisos town. There are many restaurants with very good food in the near town. At the same time it's quet and calm. Our host was extremely polite. She offered us all the time food, coffee and juice, even it wasn't included in our reservation.

Beautiful location. Peaceful but easy walk to sea. Fab sea views. Appreciated complementary bottle of wine and fully stocked fridge. Very nice gesture . Chris and his staff did everything they could to ensure we had a great stay. Very reasonable price and thoroughly recommend. Hope to be back!

Loved the island, Markos was a terrific host and source of information. A little outside port centre but easy access to it’s facilitities. Loved the panoràmic view from top balcony. Very clean and comfortable. The island is very small so you can get anywhere easily with a car.

Clean, beautifully decorated with all the necessary amenities and some extra treats. Katerina is present with a big smile to ensure your stay is memorable. She offered great advice and exceptional service. Best host ever!!
