Liked everything, the building is beautiful, the view is amazing, the room is spacious, the breakfast is really good and various, the place even has amazon prime and netflix which is a big plus when the weather is not compliant (happens more than we would like), had to go through the worst storm to get to this place, but happy we did so.

Great hostel on the way of the Ring road. The room is clean and private bathroom, friendly staff at reception but it is important to keep in mind that the reception is open until the specified hours. Good road to the hostel. There is no kitchen but there is a coffee corner where you can make coffee or tea, brew something with boiling water, for this there are dishes and cutlery, a kettle. This was truly an unexpected and very pleasant surprise! I stayed there with my 3 children and we were all enchanted by the charm of the place. The chalet we stayed in was comfortable, clean and the decor was extremely tasteful. Unfortunately we didn't stay long. We arrived at night and left early the next day. However, we had time for a quick breakfast before departure. The restaurant was a real “pearl”! The various musical instruments and all the other details made our eyes shine! The owners were very friendly and cordial. It was expensive, but we would definitely recommend this property to those who appreciate good hospitality and careful attention to details.

Elín is a wonderful host. Her house is perfectly clean and tidy, well decorated and complete with all the amenities you would expect. The location is perfect, just 10 minutes out of Höfn by car so it is lovely and quiet, while Vatnajökull National Park is roughly 1 hours drive away. The kitchen is well stocked and easy to use and we had no problems during our stay. If you have a large group it's the perfect place to stay with shared living space, or if you are only booking one room it's perfect for meeting other travellers and sharing travel tips whilst still having some privacy in your own room. All in all this was the perfect base for exploring the south coast of Iceland and we would definitely stay again!
