Boss and staff are so helpful and friendly.Since it was Christmas eve the night I stayed, boss offered us drinks and cake and so much laughter it was such a memorable experience! BelgiumPerfect location to explore the Suganuma, Aikonura and Gokayama. The bus from Johanna station stops 20 meter from the house, same stop to go to the villages, so you dont need a car to visit this place. Very beautifully renovated house with old elements and modern comfort. Super friendly owner. Nice tofushop, Japanese bakery and small supermarket closeby. Also very Nice to scroll around the house. Been 4 times to Japan and would absolutely recommend to stay here!

United KingdomThe absolute loveliest stay I’ve had in Japan. What a delight the hosts are - Glenda is an absolute gem and the loveliest. She used to tour around Japan as a singer! If you’re lucky enough, you can get her to sing a bit for you. Her husband is an incredibly talented chef and cooked us a huge and wonderful dinner - probably the best food I’ve had in Japan. Strong recommend!

She made our stay extremely comfortable, and the futons were the most comfortable we had ever slept on!!!
Also we were going to a local onsen and she provided us with coupons! We were very pleased!
I highly recommend this accommodation for its location, price and hospitality!

The kitchen is amazing and there is free tea and coffee, and if you’re not wanting to venture out for a meal there’s noodle packets and snacks for a VERY cheap price!
