We absolutely loved everything. Casa din Deal is an amazing location to relax and enjoy the spirit of historical Maramureș with the comfort of a very cozy, clean, well equipped and tastefully decorated home. The bed was very comfortable and the silent surroundings with birds chirping and cows mooing in the distance helped us to sleep very well and have beautiful dreams. It was fantastic to wake up every morning with the stunning views of the valley. And the position was great to be able explore the surroundings by car. Our host Maria was very attentive and helpful all the times, providing us with the best assistance and advices. She is a true gem! We highly recommend this corner of paradise to all those who seek peace, comfort and connection with nature and love the luxury of simplicity and kindness.

It is a typical Romanian holiday place, a room with a bathroom and a sala. The room was very nicely decorated, in a typical wooden house at the cul-de-sac. The property has a nice green garden, outside seats, it is quiet and the owners are very friendly. Both the room and bathroom are well arranged and very comfortable. The water is hot, the room is very clean, there's a small table inside and a fridge in the corridor. The sala is spacious, there are dishes and flatware (not 100% sure if guests are allowed to borrow them directly, sorry if we shouldn't have 😅), coffee machine, kettle, and tea. The town itself is really nice and the people are super friendly even for Romanian high standards. The church in the village is one of the nicest we have seen and the keeper is very happy to tell You all the history of the place. It has effective heating and I think it could be great to visit in winter with snow. Very much recommended.

The hosts are amazing, they make you feel comfortable and they take care of you like family. We asked for traditional breakfast (25 lei) and we were not disappointed, the host cooked for us amazing dishes, both sweet and salty options, including amazing traditional drink "visinata". We will come back for sure if we have the opportunity. Just as an advice, inform the property before if you want to serve food.

Breb is such a special place.. and this is a lovely pensiunea! The owners are a family and I met Mom, Grandma, and the two daughters, one of whom is Teodora. She is the one after whom the pensiunea is named. I opted for room and board ... and they surely kept me well-fed! They also offered my palinka which I could only take in small doses for that is some strong stuff! I wanted a central location to visit this part of Maramures, for there are a number of historic wooden churches in the area and I was lucky enough to meet Father Steffan, who was from the Ieud parish. He got the keys and allowed me inside the wooden church in Manastirea, which is not all that far from Breb so I could peek at the exquisite interior. In any case, there are a lot of picturesque villages and sights in and around Breb.. and Breb itself is a great place to stoll and see traditional ways being lived out every day. And the family at Pensiunea Teodora was so kind and generous. Thank you so much!
