From the sauna, the hot tub, the well equipped kitchen, music in the bathroom and well thought out furniture to the amazing location, the friendliest, fluffiest cats and the stars and white mountains and quietness. I will come back again in a heartbeat.

The house is located at a beautiful vantage point, overlooking the entrance to Ötztal and very close to the valley's main attractions (the town of Ötz, Umhausen, Stuibenfall, Niederthai, and Piburgersee) - a perfect location. In hindsight, our stay was too short. This is a great place to stay while visiting this part of Austria. Warmly and highly recommended.

I stayed in a single room and it exceeded my expectations. It was cozy, cute, and had an incredible view. There was a kettle, coffee machine, and fridge as well which was very nice. It was nice and quiet and all around just really comfortable, I wish I could've stayed longer!

We used the Gasthof Schontal as a base for travelling to and from Kitzbuhel for a days skiing and the Hahnenkahm races. A half hour drive takes you to Kirchberg in Tyrol where there is free parking and a free shuttle train which takes you into Kitzbuhel itself. Perfect
