The cupboards are full of snacks and the fridge is full of juices, beer, water, yogurt, ice cream, and all of it costs only 1 CHF. In the fridge you have your own container for things, and if that's not enough, you can ask for more. You also have a closet in the dining room with a key where you can keep your things. The bathroom is fully equiped (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, ear cleaning sticks, wet wipes, dental floss, hair dryer)... What particularly surprised us is that when you check in, you get a card with your basic information on it, and with that card you have a discount on a very large number of the attractions you'd like to see. The location is simply breathtaking, there's lots of extraordinary locations to visit, and many of them were in a close vicinty of our accommdation. If you want to experience Switzerland, come to Brienz!

The free bus pass that also doubles as a discount pass for certain activities on the Interlaken/Thun area is also a great touch and makes travel by bus all the easier and at no extra cost. When doing activities mention the card to save some money before paying for the activity such as visiting Thun Castle. There was also a fan included within the room which made up for not having control over air conditioning or an overhead fan. The owner who's phone number can be accessed via WhatsApp is also very kind and responsive. She was wonderful!
