I was greeted by my host, Hector, after a long day of driving and delays. I was provided with my own small fridge with snacks, a kettle for tea/coffee, dishes/cutlery, all the little things one may need. The hallway had a microwave, toaster, other snacks, another fridge with shareable items. Any dirty dishes I had were cleaned and replaced on the counter in the hall for me to bring back into my room later. A massive bonus for me personally was the small fan since I usually sleep with a fan at home. The room had a skylight with a blackout shade in it so I could sleep without being woken by the sun. The bathroom had a towel warmer, which felt like a luxury since they aren’t standard in every home in America. Hector was super sweet and even gave me a little Highland coo figurine when I left.

Everything was so thoughtful, from the homemade cookies at the counter, to Mr Stuart walking us to our room, making sure we knew everything including how to use the Wi-Fi and shower, to the homemade breakfast in the morning it was just perfect. There was even a sewing kit in the room, a rag provided to wipe off dirty boots, and wine glasses to use in the sitting area downstairs. Parking was across the street and always had a spot available for us. The best place to stay in isle of skye.

Interesting books in the room. Bed suited my back. We arrived at 8pm and still there were places to eat not far from the guestrooms.

The property is non-smoking and is situated 2.2 km from Fiskavaig Bay Beach. We loved everything. Lovely home and surroundings. It was an excellent location to see the isle of Skye. The pub in town was wonderful too with good food and music. The suite was super comfy and very roomy. The host is very thoughtful and left out snacks and two drams of whiskey for us. She also recommended places to visit. If I could give it a higher score I would. Definitely stay here. It was very peaceful and serene.

The guest house is fitted with a TV. The accommodation is non-smoking. Gillian was a very gracious host, so warm and welcoming. The room was fantastic, well heated, comfortable and impeccably clean. I hadn't originally booked breakfast with our stay but was able to add it on arrival paying cash by the day for the delicious continental breakfast. With a fantastic view of the mountains from the breakfast room. The B&B is only a few minutes walk from the charming town of portree or an even shorter drive. Gillian had contacted us prior to our visit with some local restaurants for dinners which was greatly appreciated and booking in advance is essential as the town is very popular. I would highly recommend this beautiful home for any stay.
