From the minute we arrived, with loads of cuddles from all the fur babies to many a cups of tea in the cosy kitchen in front of the aga. The King size bed was comfy and room tastefully decorated. The home was spotlessly clean. Cathy's home is just a short walk to all the beautiful sights of Kilkenny. Secure parking in the yard, was great.

Free WiFi is available. I payed so little for it that I thought it would be a bit nasty, but I was positively surprised, it surpassed most of the other accommodations during my trip. Including some more expensive hotels. The room was really cozy. I liked the solid classical furniture and traditional hotel atmosphere which in my book beats the hotels with modern furniture that often ends up looking like hostels. The location was also great! Next to the Railway Station which is both great for train travelers and people who travel by car and can use the stations parking lot which was right next to the hotel. If I come to Kilkenny again I will pick this hotel again!

We sat outside and drank with the locals, moved inside as it got later and colder, people started singing and we ended up going to bed at 2am. Very warm and welcoming locals.
