Also on the rooftop at the open space by the tents on the roof (which some guests sometimes stay in for half the price. They said it was lovely too.

This place was truly phenomenal. The staff here were so helpful and organised so many activities for us as well as transport everywhere. All of the recommendations of where to go and what to do turned out to be excellent. Rooms were divine and the balcony lovely. A perfect homestay!

The room was spacious (the biggest we got during our travels in India), and it had a nice big balcony (more like a terrace). The bathroom is also big, providing hot and warm water; a shower is a bit separated from the toilet so not everything is wet after showering. The hosts, Mr. Girish and Mrs. Sunila, were a real gem - they were warm and friendly and they helped us with our tickets (go to the martial show, it is really fun to see), and all other bookings (nearby trips, intercity transports, etc.). All their recommendations for nearby attractions and restaurants were excellent. We had breakfast at a homestay on our last morning, and Mrs. Sunila cooked great food, and we had a very refreshing conversation with Mr. Girish who is an expert in Thekkady animals and forests, and knows a lot about world animals in general. Mr. Girish, I will read the book soon! Finally, the location of the place was great as it was situated in a peaceful area but also close to a few good restaurants and a walk distance from the attractions.

It is the lush green balcony setup and the kind and caring people who created this gem that make this place so special. My boyfriend and I got to spend two nights with this lovely family and I wish we had another one to rest and read on the cozy balcony. The breakfast was delcious and we enjoyed chatting there with other guest. We also got invited to a very yum dinner on night, sharing stories with other travelers. We received help from the hosts with any our questions, they were always there for us and went the extra mile. We felt very welcomed in this house and I‘m beyond thankful for the experience. I can easily say that Mr. Suresh and his family were the nicest hostes (apart from my in-laws) that I had in India! They were the sweetest; helped me book tickets, gave me nice recommendations for food, and were really sympathetic. During my stay, I got sick (nothing related to the accommodation), and they even made me rice soup so I could get better. Apart from them, I was nicely surprised with the room: the bed was huge and comfortable, the water was always hot and the pressure was amazing. The view to the garden made my nights and early mornings. If I ever go back to Thekkady I'd like to stay in Green View again!

This place is absolute gem for staying in Thekkady. It's a newly built house and very nicely furnished. Hot water for bathing was available at 5 am in morning. Paul is a super host. Will definitely visit again.
