We stayed in the Clubhouse. Stunning views, lovely kitchen to cook a delicious dinner. It was clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and welcoming. The springs were magical and the restaurant (seafood soup!!) was delicious. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, we had the northern lights on New Year’s Eve. Eric the Red is a perfectly located Guest House in Reykjavik just 60m/200ft from Hallgrímskirkja Church which is the biggest church and single most central point in Reykjavik, we are in short walking distance from all the best Reykjavik has to offer, whether it’s Museums, Restaurants, Cafés, Bars, Shopping Streets, Parks, the BSi bus station, Geothermal Swimming pools or Lake Tjörnin, and yet positioned in a quiet area of the center. Everything was wonderful. The location was convenient with easy access to the tour bus stop, the staff were kind, and the place was clean!

Amazing fresh breakfast, the only thing that may need improvement is the breakfast bread was burned on the bottom every day we got breakfast. Other than that we had a blast!
