Everything was perfect. The host was very friendly. I will definitely visit again when I'm near Kegalle.

We stayed at Green Leaves for one night prior to starting a tour around Sri Lanka. Anushka and his family are very welcoming and approachable and we are grateful to have been welcomed to their home. In the afternoon Anushka took us to a nearby monastery to watch the sunset behind the mountains, and to have tea with a local family. The next day we went to visit Ambuluwawa tower before travelling to Negombo. The mud chalet is very clean and tidy, with AC and mosquito nets. Anushka and his family prepared food for us which was very tasty. Overall we had a fantastic time, and staying here was a great start to our trip. Anushka and his family were very helpful when we had some questions, and taught us about the local customs and history

Situated in Pinnawala, 28 km from Kandy Royal Botanic Gardens and 32 km from Kandy railway station, Jungle Village Homestay features air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. Jungle Village Homestay is amidst thick dense forest and it is apt for people travelling to spend some quality time with nature. The homestay is surrounded by their farm and the owner's mother was very keen on explaining every crop and tree she grows there. I went with my mother and father and they were thrilled to see the enthusiasm of the host and this was our first day stay after we landed in lanka. truly a great way to start our Sri Lankan Trip. Featuring a garden and views of lake, Pinnawala Elephant Front View Hotel is a recently renovated guest house located in Rambukkana, 34 km from Kandy Royal Botanic Gardens. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. It is possible for guests to sit outside and enjoy the property grounds. What made this place exceptional was its location. You wake up in the morning to view the elephants at the orphanage receiving breakfast. Their happily snorting and squealing as truckloads of the morning meal is delivered. The elephants eat, play, and cavort freely all while I'm sipping tea from my balcony. Unbelievable!

I had an absoulutely beautiful experience staying at Mystay. Hosts were incredibly attentive to anything I needed, they were always available to provide great info about nearby spots and prices. While Mawanella in not a main tourist hotspot there are some gorgeous spots to explore if you like nature such as river with waterfalls, several hiking spots and trekking paths through the rainforest, it is an awesome location for nature lovers. Also, it's proximity to Kandy and Elefant sanctuary puts you in a great location to explore surrounding attractions. Hosts were always able to arrange local transport to wherever I needed to go and for amazing (local) price, can't thank them enough. Breakfast was wonderful, home made and super tasty. They also provided fruit and tea for my relaxing time, also plenty of bottled water all the time. Place is very spaceous and comfortable with garden around the house, there is also a lovely erected area, like a treehouse, for you to enjoy, that is surrounded with greenery, a great place to just relax and see some birds etc. All in all, a wonderful family that I'm happy to have met and I'm so thankful for all their help with information and transport. Hope I'll be able to stay there again sometines in the future.
