It’s a beautiful property straight on the beach which was basically like a private beach during our whole 4day stay. I definitely recommend the seaview room (unless you’re on a very tight budget) - it’s just a tiny bit more expensive than other rooms, but never before have I had such an excellent view (floor to ceiling corner windows make up two walls of the room). This place can easily compete with resorts (and win). The owner (and staff in general) was super friendly and gave us great tips on visiting local sights. Breakfast was amazing. The location was ideal for visiting beaches, wadis and Bimmah sinkhole by car and there were enough cafes within a 10min drive. Wadi Shab was basically just a walk away.

At the homestay, units have bed linen and towels. You have to stay at Ras Al Hadd Orchid at least for a night during your stay in Oman. Ektheir is the perfect host. So nice and friendly. The staff prepared us the dinner and got us a tour on the next day with someone they knew to see and swim with turtles and dolphins. Totally worth it. We loved the vibes and the stay couldn't be better.

Guests at the guest house can enjoy a continental breakfast. Wow, we loved our stay with Amur and his family at the Desert Heart Camp. We didn't have a 4x4, so he met us and drove us first to his village for some coffee and dates, and then we had so much fun going dune bashing. Amur arranged for us a camel ride for the sunset and it was lovely. We were the last two staying at the camp before he closed for the season but you wouldn't have known it as we were treated so well. His children are precious. We made traditional bread over the fire and dinner was absolutely delicious! The open-fire grilled camel meat was tasty! We waddled to bed full and drifted off to sleep to the wind blowing through the tent. Breakfast was great and my husband enjoyed his second coffee walking around the dunes. We then left the desert oasis to continue on our journey, taking with us some wonderful memories of our time with this sweet family. Thank you Amur!

This apartment is truly perfect in every way - size, quality, location, amenities, location and the most open and friendly host, who recommends a trip with the best desert guide - Ali. I rarely give reviews and almost never give 10/10, but this time I would give 20 if I could! I confirm - it would be worth visiting Oman just for this apartment!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Sand House. The location was great, super easy to get to with a sedan, and it's right at the end of the dunes, so it was a nice walk to see the sunset. The rooftop was a lovely place to just take in the views and enjoy the sunrise. The house had all the amenities/facilities you need. We didn't cook, but the kitchen had everything you'd need to cook/have a meal. The pool! We enjoyed night swimming/taking a dip in the pool, which was nice and refreshing amidst the desert heat. Special thanks to Camarol, who was fantastic from pre-check in until check out. The entire house was absolutely spotless, he patiently answered all our questions, and made us the most delicious breakfast. Wish we stayed longer, but definitely pinning this location for the future!
